Service

If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday.

-- Isaiah 58:10—ESV

Inversion Service is a ministry that takes place in, around and beyond our immediate sphere of influence that strengthens the ministry of the local church, with special emphasis given to the poor of our extended community. We desire to have avenues to give our lives away in good works of Kingdom Service.

Inversion is committed to serving along side others in the McFerrin Park Community of East Nashville.  Our local ministry partners are Front Porch Ministries and The Salvation Army. There are lots of ways you can serve as an individual or with your Inversion Community Group, even if your schedule only allows a small amount of time to give.

  • We have seasonal kids clubs, and they are a great way to serve the neighborhood and get to know families. Listen for more information about these at Thursday night Gatherings.
  • We provide tutors and volunteers to help out with The Salvation Army's afterschool program.
  • We provide volunteers to help out with the children's ministry at The Salvation Army's Sunday morning chapel.
  • We have various other opportunities including a seasonal neighborhood talent show, helping families in need at the holidays, etc. Listen for more details at Thursday night Gatherings.
